Gas prices in california insane high

but yea the prices that have been raising since biden came in office are because of ukraine and russia :)

I'm in Northern California and filled up my tank yesterday morning because I saw this coming. Was $5.34/gallon. Drove by station earlier today and it's $5.98

so how much a gallon to liter?

3L = 1retarded unit
So its still fucking cheap compared to Europe.

its 7.10 USD per gallon of gasoline here in EU now

4,5 for U.S gallons.

yes american gas is very cheap compared to Europe but it has always been the case. Most Americans drive their cars 30km or more each way to commute to work. Many drive 100km per day. So a fuel price increase is a new daily tax of $5 per day already. And the gas prices are likely to go up another 70% by Summer

Biden's first term is looking a lot like Carter's.

Worth it not to have drumpf in office

damn, I probably spent like $5 worth of gas a month

Lol our gas prices are 160% of that at the moment.

You all laughed at it, but the HSR project is now guaranteed to happen because the state economy won't work without it. As it is impossible for gas prices to recover from a Russian oil embargo and as it's likely Saudi Arabia will collapse from incompetence we'll be at $7/gal by the end of the decade. Propane trucks are about to make a big comeback and CARB's insistence on LPG conversion has proven fruitful.

This is just the start. The oil import age is over.

You can compare US with Austria.
Its now 1,6 € per Liter in Austria.
Thats 4,8€ per Gallon ~ 5.2 US
But thx for Greta we will get soon a new tax on it...
Oh it was aroun 1,1€ some months ago....
So we have the same Problem like you.

Oh you cant imagine how many US citicens migrated to Austria....

get used to it because its never going down kek

No, it's not. It much worse

SAD!
US had only one job....
That was to keep this fucking planet runing on cheap oil!
I mean its not that of a huge problem for US and Europe.
But it is the fucking end for the 3rd world!
How will countrys like the Phillipines ever recover from this?

great, and twenty years from now it will even open!

>How will countrys like the Phillipines ever recover from this?
They will buy Russian oil

The Philippines never recovered from being a spanish colony because they still worship the pope and they never recovered from being an American colony because they never had a successful non-corrupt government. Mexico's government will make lots of money from the state oil company, perhaps enough to finance trains to move people around as car ownership becomes rare again.

But really who cares about them? Nobody has given a shit about their problems up to this point, and a major third world economic collapse is unlikely to change anything. If Honduras effectively collapses as economic refugees flood the capital, what would even happen? They'd go to the airport where the planes aren't flying and starve. They'd walk to the border stations where the Mexican government will shoot them. They either become self-sufficient or die. Their government then has a coup, military takes power, and there's order again as civilians are prevented from looting the remaining food. Already the case in Venezuela under Maduro.

It's a future to look forward to, compared to car dependent zones that very clearly do not have a future. Most Americans can't afford and LPG car or propane conversion, most don't want it anyway, and the alternative electric vehicle costs even more. States that chose not to have mass transit will suffer accordingly as they are built for the previous century.

the problem in America is that projects like this can't get done due to corruption and bureaucracy problems. these problems are getting worse, not better.

If you want to be a defeatist that's your problem, I've been watching CAHSR construction through my neighborhood progress over the past three years. Crews have now set up the poles, there's already substations and track. Even if it's not high speed, it's still electric and not dependent on oil. I'll still be able to get to work in 20 years on the same ticket fare I pay now while everyone using gas cars will gradually pay more.

kek, enjoy your future. you live behind the new Iron Curtain.

Do yourself a favor and look at how much the Moscow Metro has expanded in the past twenty years versus NYC.

That's because Russia, like all non-American countries, isn't addicted to automobiles. America is now joining them.

The 20th century is over and with it the civil stagnation that occurred, as now infrastructure is either built or communities die. It's sink or swim, literally so due to climate change.

Biden is making Carter look better by comparison
