Some context:
Donetsk & Luhansk have been getting slammed by Ukraine in the leadup to the Russian invasion, Azov battalion (which is based in Mauripol) has been especially motivated and brutal against them as there isn't just the regular soldier's perspective of us/the enemy but ideological hatred of the people in Donetsk and Luhansk.
You'll see civilians are finding it hard to leave not just for the regular "there's a war" reasons but also because once they're all gone the attackers of Mauripol have a lot of people from the breakaway republics in their ranks and as far as they care it's payback time on Mauripol.
Azov are also a militia so they're probably not getting P.O.W treatment either.

Russian side should announce that they'll send an inspection squad in, maybe around 3 or 2 soldiers minimally/un armed with hidden live camera feed, to "make sure no civilians are in the city anymore and that all remaining forces are military only,". Hopefully they'll release the footage and that'll be a sight to see.
