Propaganda aside, who the fuck is winning? I know truth is the first casualty of war but I have no idea who is winning this thing. It feels like everyone is just saying how badly Russia is botching the whole operation and then you look at the maps and it looks like Russia is cutting off all access to the sea, encircling a huge Ukranian army formation in the Donbass, and laying siege to the capital. By historical standards, that's amazing progress for day 10 of any war. However the russians are getting bogged down in the north and they seem to be losing lots of heavy equipment. Who is winning as of today and who will be winning long term? All shills welcome.

Militarily, Russia will eventually win unless somebody offs Putin and cancels the invasion. Politically, economically, Russia miscalculated and they're royally fucked. There is also a possibility that if the Russians do conquer Ukraine that an insurgency will continue to cause problems for years to come like an Afghanistan scenario.

Militarily, Russia. Putin now has incentives to go all-in and try to take as much of the country as they can because he's already been sanctioned into hell, but it's a race against time as their poor planning will make it too costly for them.
If I were Zelensky I would push for a negotiated solution ASAP as this is the strongest Ukraine's military will probably ever be, and Russia will not back down as it tries to adjust its tactics

Like I said, you can't infer to any Russian or Western maps due to the insane amount of propaganda from both sides. You can only make an educated guess and mine is that Russia has the advantage. NATO support is limited to weapon sales and thats it. No air or ground support will be given.

The problem is that Afghanistan is full of mountains which made it hard for Russian troops and some aircraft to make an effective impact. Ukraine has the same topography as Russia, they'll adapt pretty nicely.

I would say Russia is slowly advancing but I don't believe they expected this level of resistance from Ukraine and the gravity of sanctions by the west. Dictators often surround themselves with yes men which makes them vulnerable to miscalculations. Can Russia win? I think so. The real question is, can they win before Russia becomes a failed state?

Pretty good. You also have to remember they've stopped going hard several times after agreeing to possible peace talks. Has happened 2 - 3 times now. Once, Zele wanted to talk so they held back. He changed his mind and bombing continued.
