Air superiority is basic war 101 shit. How the FUCK does Putin take Kiev without dominating the skies and what's stopping him?
Russia STILL doesn't have air superiority
>according to jewkraine and (((western media))) propagating the bullshit
>Air superiority
It's not WW2 anymore. SAMs have made fighter planes completely useless
They saw the attack coming and moved everything out of compounds and storage. Ukraine has a gigantic amount of anti aircraft weaponry in addition to the fun stuff the west is sending them.
You do realise this is a Jew on Jew war right? All the oligarchs are kikes. JIDF are siding with Russia on here and shilling like mad. And yet summerfags are still the only Any Forumslacks who think brown people killing white people is a bad thing no matter what. You guys do realise Russians aren't white, right?
>and what's stopping him?
I'd bet it's Russian anti-aircraft weaponry left over from soviet times or from when Ukiestan and Roshan were still on friendly terms.
I'm not supporting a globohomo puppet state, whether they're white or not.
If that makes you call me a kike, you can suck my uncircumcised dick.
is there something not useless nowadays?
Drones
They probably do have air superiority but
>1 - It's not a total war scenario. They don't want to bomb the entire country into fucking oblivion--they want to occupy and bring them into the Russian Federation.
>2 - An additional part of above is that the Ukraine and whatever allies can bring some dangerous anti-air capabilities to bear, so Putin isn't going to throw in massive amounts of expensive air power because it has limited use.
>is there something not useless nowadays?
Nukes
they don't need it.
How do you know?
>without dominating the skies and what's stopping him?
Ugh, I think we all know the answer to this one by now.
US has an air superiority model for fighting conflicts, as everyone knows. It's employed because it can be very effective, relies on Western technological advancement, and results in relatively low friendly casualties. The US model since the Civil War has been to expend capital and material, not lives.
The Russian model of warfare is very different and based on self-propelled artillery. Instead of artillery clearing the way for tanks, tanks clear the way for artillery and as the artillery moves forward, so does the front. For seizing land, it is very effective, although somewhat more vulnerable to higher casualty rates which Russia appears ready to accept. The obvious weakness is from the air, which is why they have invested so heavily in the S-400 Triumf, Pantsir, and Buk AA systems, all of which make a very potent screen while their ground forces advance.
Your mom.
To add: compare it to the US in Iraq. We had total air superiority and the most powerful air assets in the world on-station 24/7, but we still fought an eventually impossible guerilla war against insurgents for eight years. The Russians haven't even been in the Ukraine for a week.
>Drones
only work when the party that uses them actually has air superiority or there is no air force at all.
Any opposing party that has any decent SAMs makes drones useless, the only exception are maybe suicide drones, and only when they are deployed in masses.
命中!やったー!
For me, it's killer robots.
Make more drones than they have missiles. Make so many drones that they blot out the sun and zerg rush them. They can't get 'em all.
>which is why they have invested so heavily in the S-400 Triumf, Pantsir, and Buk AA systems
that doctrine is pretty old, its was the modus operandi during the cold war. there are quite a few papers and books on that even in the west.
It makes sense when your land is as fucking huge as russia, to have your anti air capabilities actually move with your army, instead of having to rely on fighter cover, that only can remain over you a limited amount of time.
>what's stopping him?
Ukraine is full of heroes user.
Nah that's horse shit. The US regularly shits all over modern anti air systems with minimal or even zero losses
Infantery + SAMs, chemical weapons are huge antiinfantery though could make veichles useful again.
Walrus has even managed to shoot 3 pilots as their jets flew by with his Remmington 700
considering most drones are slow as fuck, you don't even need missiles to shot them down.
Any ciws system is good enough, and the Pantsir-M system is fully autonomous, just as the phalanx of the US.
Airpower is obsolete for anything but recon. Earth 2022 is an infantry only server.
Bullish for killer robots.
>How the FUCK does Putin take Kiev without dominating the skies and what's stopping him?
Kiev is at fire range from tuesday, after the civilian evacuation he'll nuke Kiev a couple of days and after that he'll move the troops to clean the remaining resistance.
>shits all over modern anti air systems
they never engaged one, noticed how the US fucked off when they deployed the S-300 in Syria?
>chemical weapons
can't imagine in the 21st century
