What is it with cyclists and being complete assholes? Inb4 fat, euros hate them too. I hope america stays car dependant because cycling infrastructure is expensive and when built nobody uses it.

These geared up cyclists are usually spoiled rich faggots like those who play golf and other luxury sports.

What bothers me is they seem to get a massive hard on inconveniencing cars just because they "can" and they'd rather be "right" than alive

based cyclist chads making the wagie gas guzzlers seethe

Ukraine should use cyclists to block the roads and slow Russia's advance.

Ya seethe?

Keep using that cycle of hate words around here meanie and find out

I don't minds cyclists who use their bike for transportation. It's the Lance Armstrong wannabes who block the road for their their faggot hobby that drive me crazy. My hobby is lifting. What if I did squats in the middle of the road?

It's crazy how many dutch people are car shaming lunatics, you have to disincentivise car use by making roads super narrow/inconvenient and tax car ownership up the ass just so that a few more people ride bikes. Do you have your dates ride on your handlebars?

I think they perceive themselves as much faster than they actually are (10 mph) and cars are just being impatient.

The thing is very very few cyclists commute to work, it's mostly recreational, they sure as fuck aren't going to be hauling groceries on a bicycle

>driving down side road
>Guy on $5k downhill bike riding 2mph
>Gravel parking area to his right, can easily move over
>Turns back and looks at me twice
>Keeps going 2mph in the middle of the lane
>have to pass him on blind corner
>no one coming but still

If I had to avoid a car I would have gladly run him over

Your cyclists are crazy m8, I've seen so many videos where they squeeze between lorries and busses nearly getting crushed, it seems very common out there

In these cases I don't even get mad, just pass close with windshield wipers going.

>Kyev.

I see you're using a dead language.

I don't have very good coping mechanisms
But it just blows my mind, same with what I see people do in cars
I try to live my life in a way that inconveniences the least amount of people as possible, and would feel 'bad' holding up a line of cars. Yet people live like that guy and just don't care.

I used to bike everywhere in college. I would just get a couple bags of groceries at a time in my backpack.

>I hope america stays car dependant
you'll get your wish user... what a beautiful country

>I hope america stays car dependant because cycling infrastructure is expensive and when built nobody uses it.
cycling infrastructure is extremely cheap and far more profitable than car infrastructure. What you're describing is still car infrastructure, just with the clear lane allowing bikes. Who would want ride a bike on it?
Cycling and walking in north america sucks because every city is built from the ground up to discourage it, the little lanes they add are just shitty bandaids. Car designed cities are the reason why our cities are so fucking ugly and constantly bankrupt too.

I'm the same way, motorcycles don't bother me at all because they don't inconvenience. Bicycles were a mistake
This is better than having multifamily housing with its urban achievers running around wrecking the city.

Fucking pedalphiles get the rope first

The problem is "proper" cycling infrastructure usually requires reducing a lane which is no bueno, they did this in my suburbs and literally nobody rides a bike ever, it leads to a shopping center not even a mile away from residential areas and even has island barriers separating cars from bikes

>"surrounded by tanks"
>an APC and a truck at an intersection

Im jealous that america does have many so good car centric areas.
As an european who lives in country(finland) with a government that hates cars, constantly tries to make me switch from private to walking, bicycling, public transportation. I hate my country so much that if russia or any other country decides to start a war here someday, I will let it happen and competely refuse to defend my country and also refuse to sacrifice my life for my country/race benefit as revenge for this antiprivate car policy.

>Be on my bike
>Cycling as close to the sidewalk as possible
>Minor inconvenience for cars and none for people walking, like it should be
>Get at a major intersection
>4 lanes: Left lane = Turning Left. Middle-left = Turning left or going straight. Middle-right = Turning right or going straight. Right = Turning right
>Want to go straight
>If I stick to the sidewalk, I'll block both right lanes from turning right OR they'll just flatten me
>Go Middle-Right, after checking to make sure I'm not cutting any car
>Red light's long as fuck
>Eventually cars start piling behind me (everybody's at a stop anyway)
>Muslim woman behind me starts honking and gesturing me to get off the road
>Motions her I'm going straight-ahead, assume she'll understand what danger I'd put myself into if I listened to her
>She keeps honking
>Steps off my bike, revealing I'm tall as fuck and starts walking towards her car, making eye contact
>She avoids my eyes
>Flip her off and get back on my bike
Thank you for reading my blog.

Hey asshole! Stop being so selfish and ride the bus, don't you know how great diversity and green energy is?

I hate to be a euro dicksucker but to give the netherlands as an example they have everything divided into either highways, roads, or streets.
Highways are self explanatory
Roads are for cars and designed as high speed connectors between two points. Signs are big.
Streets are basically living spaces. Cars can drive on them, but they're built for people. They're narrow, stores are right up to edge, and everything is down to a human scale.

What we have is different, we have a fucked up hybrid of roads and streets with plenty of traffic lights. Trying to mix bikes into them just pisses everyone off, both cyclists and cars.

You're a white nigger who lives in a demented mentally ill country. Nothing works in mutt land.

Urban planning tards forget USA is filled with niggers and spics. We can't have anything nice anymore. Learn from us as it seems you are headed the same way.

You need to ask yourself something though, if america builds good cycling infrastructure will people really use it? No, we would have to tax car ownership up the ass just to make walking, cycling or using public transportation more appealing. Oh yeah and we'd have to eliminate parking minimums and remove street parking for bike lanes in most cases. There is no healthy balance between driving a car and cycling, one gets fucked over way more than the other

No more insults m8, they're hurtful and they're destructive.

Just stick with the program and stay with the light switches until you get your massive migrant alien abduction to Ukraine so you can join the playgrounds

People wouldn't use it because our regulations make it unfeasible. There's no density since everything is spaced out so much, and it's usually illegal to build any kind of small shop or store in strictly residential areas so you're forced to either drive or take the bus just to get anywhere.
We USED to have livable, walkable cities. We bulldozed them to make gigantic parking lots and department stores.

>reee stop blocking my suv! I need to take my morbidly obese mutts to school that's only 2 miles away!

>it's usually illegal to build any kind of small shop or store in strictly residential areas
Zoning laws are cancer and are responsible for the downfall of America. Thanks a lot NIMBYs.

>There's no density
GOOD, why in your opinion is density good? I don't want volumes of people walking by my house, density brings more noise pollution. Why is it in most "walkable" cities it's all multifamily housing? Having a driveway, garage, and a backyard is nice, you going to cook some bbq in your apartment?
