I teach some kinds german. Last time i saw what they are watching on YT. Is is absolutely grotesque. I watched for about an hour, and every clip they watched was worryingly strange and uncanny and definitly not suitable for children (or adults for that matter). There is no narrative anymore, just some badly animated figures (often popular ones such is micky or spiderman) doing brutal or horrific things to each other. Sometimes it is just surreal, in a bad sense. So what is happening here, is this the new propaganda tool to program them into stupefied, mindless and emotionally unstable humans. I read up on elsagate, but it seems that no one knows the background of it. the consensus is, that these "shows" are the result of global capitalism. They are produced by some cheap labor in East Asia with the help of algorithms to increase views. But I got the weird feeling, that it is some kind of psychological warfare or experiment or some form of propaganda. Does anyone have an idea whats going on with these videos?

It's the reality of work. Somewhere there's a 3rd worlder, whos job is to create 3 of these a day, 15 a week, 700 or so a year.
When you are creating that many videos, you will inevitably create slightly fucked up stuff, just out of boredom or in ability to contextualise what you are doing.
As your only focus is quick production and publishing, there's no incentive to not create them, even if you know the content is slightly off the mark.
Furthermore, because you're creating so many, there's no reason not to steal ideas from similar businesses which is why you see the same fucked-ups stories coming up over and over.
Just economics, and some India fellas getting very very rich out of cheap content.
