If you think the west doesn't have its fair share of funnelling money to war efforts, or to perpetrate war because it's an industry that is hyper nationalistic, thus one of the few that creates jobs at home without being able to "ship them away" then you're just playing dumb. I mean the American Military-Industrial complex is highly inefficient yet it's not touched because doing so directly affects employment in the country. It's one of the few manufacturing industries that will never be shipped abroad, so it will always have very large lobbying and thus will always have an active interest to pressure american military intervention.
