because fundamentally people do not understand the issues and they lack the interest to REALLY want to know why the things are happening that are happening, their opinions aren't based on any logic and understanding and therefore they form their opinions on memes and child like imagined evils. The american government doesn't understand that other countries have interests too and don't believe democracy is the answer. Since the us is so powerful they can act in these foolish capacity - the blind implementation of "democracy" and the toppling of regimes to western-friendly ones is an act of good for them, while others see it as territorial expansion, they see it, or at least sell it, as humanitarian intervention. They fundamentally, against clear evidence of the contrary, think what the west is doing is always right and they lack to see that there is not only one perspective. They understand that the soviet union can't deposit nukes on cuba, they don't understand why they can't put military bases in ukraine - a country they lead on to join NATO - an organisation formed against the soviet union/russia. The hypocrisy is over the top and this will lead to big problems, ukrainians must suffer for american and western ignorance.
