russia should have cut off all energy and food going to ukraine beforehand
Jose Gonzalez
china is already the manufacturing capitol of the world
Ian White
Russia is not so good at invading countries right on their border. They're probably going to keep steamrolling the ukranians, but god damn they're doing a sloppy job.
Caleb Bell
>What did Xi learn from the Ukraine conflict?
Hopefully he picked up on Ukraine being a trap for Russia from the start.
Ian Gonzalez
>What did Xi learn from the Ukraine conflict?
2nd lesson: Russia is the path of least resistance to Chinese expansion, especially after Russia burnt its bridges to west.

If he wants to keep his country afloat through trade with the west he should give up his dream of taking Taiwan
Easton Thomas
PEE PEE POO POO HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA

NATO cannot afford to sanction China and Russia at the same time. If they're gonna take Taiwan, this is the best time to do it.

All dictators, juntas and oligarchies are unfortunately reminded to stamp down any dissent before it gets any larger and invade immediatly if your sphere is threatened.

Nicholas Robinson
They would honestly just reopen trade with Russia to knock out China
Connor Collins
If it ever gets to the point where invading is the only choice, total war against the Taiwanese is a must. Don't go lightly thinking that it might sway the civilian opinion and support.
Jaxson Ramirez
He has to get asian incels on his side cuz nobody else will shill for china in the west
Caleb Bailey
I'm sure Xi is going to make a lot of money from this conflict. You may as well consider Russia a colony of China after this is all over.

That he can get away with crimes if another dictator is more retarded
Christopher Richardson
Why do people say this? You have no idea what we will put up with to defeat an enemy. In fact I want massive sanctions to go back to a life where material items are less common but better home made quality.

Reading Chinese discussions; mainly 3 things
1. Cut internet, like immediately. Blast every communication system to hell and dont let the enemy wage propaganda warfare
2. Mercilessly bomb cities first. You cant win hearts and minds if you have to invade anyway. Dont do it like Russia thinking your are liberating some brother.
3. Only invade when the enemy lands have been completely destroyed and like hundred thousands have died. Shock and Awe requires one to destroy the enemy both in body and mind.
The good things here are that Putin has shown Xi all the cards the West can play. They now know what they can expect, and it isnt the western response that scares them now, but more technical things like having enough guided munitions, preparation of one's own troops for the mission, injecting enough hatred in your own population to support total destruction of the enemy etc.
China realized that Taiwan wont be a walk in the park and will not be a bloodless operation. They will likely mass produce everything that can kill enemies with haste now.
Mason Moore
Don't launch an open invasion of Taiwan unless you can take the capital in under 3 days. Either blitzkrieg or just don't bother.
Andrew Garcia
That you turn of the power plants first.
Colton Rodriguez
>Don't launch an open invasion of Taiwan unless you can take the capital in under 3 days.
Nicholas Thompson
Most of us have been blessed to live our lives in a bubble of relative peace and prosperity.
But the normal state of human existence, from the dawn of time throughout all of history, is war, disease and starvation.
At the end of the day, we're still just monkeys fighting over bananas and baboon ass.
Everything that humanity does ultimately rests on the threat of real violence.
You can ignore that reality and be a weak faggot, but you can't ignore the consequences.
Or you can study history and prepare accordingly.
Parker Mitchell
>That patience is the key to winning every time.
Also starving your military of funds and letting it run down for 20 years is a bad idea if you expect to ever have to use it.

>Its title comes from a quotation by Vyacheslav von Plehve in reference to the Russo-Japanese War: "What this country needs is a short, victorious war to stem the tide of revolution." That quotation is one of the novel's two epigraphs; the other is a quotation from Robert Wilson Lynd: "The belief in the possibility of a short decisive war appears to be one of the most ancient and dangerous of human illusions."
>"The People's Republic of Haven finds itself teetering at the edge of economic disaster. Unable to maintain its massive welfare state in the face of inflation and deficit and with opposition to the government getting bolder, the leaders of the People's Republic decide to resort to war against Manticore. A short, victorious war, they believe, will both distract the proles from their current economic problems and allow them to use the riches of the Manticore system to prop up their welfare state."
