Russia is going to win the conventional war in Ukraine. It's a given considering the size difference in the two armies. But if you think this isn't the biggest military disaster to befall Russia since the winter war than you clearly are deluded. It has been an absolute disaster for them. And we haven't even see the assault on kyiv yet.

Russia hasn't sent anywhere near it's full capacity, though. Look at their military capability, and look at what we've been witnessing from them. This is my own opinion, but I feel that Russia is sending in, basically their grunt forces. They don't want to waste too much of their force in this initial assault, which is why this first week seems to be going so slow, and we haven't really seen the Russians using too much of their armament either. But it is slowly making it's way in, regardless. What I think the main objective of Russia is: send in the grunts, with meh equipment, while we get our main forces ready, and solidify our final invasion plans. Once we have Kiev practically surrounded, we will then ask for one final peace talk, with our true demands. If these demands are not met, then we launch our main forces, and seize the country. This means a full force assault, minus any nukes.
