But there's one thing about this conflict I don't understand, and the question I would ask to Russians reading this: why waging the war against Ukraine could help Russia anyway? Many Ukrainians are Russian nationality, there's shittone of Ukrainians being half Russian, quarter Russian etc. Shelling those people is going to kill relatives of some Russian people in Russia. To keep control over Ukraine, you will need a massive garrisons, lot's of military personel enaged and huge costs.
Am I missing something, but what is cassus belli for this "special operation"? Does Kremlin really launch it to fight "neo-nazis in Ukraine", like western propaganda says?
