A 40-minute long documentary (propaganda) on the upcoming elections and the culture war of the past 12 years was aired in prime time on the German 3Sat cultural public service channel. The message of the programme is clear and familiar: corruption is rampant in Hungary, and independent journalists and gay rights organisations are being stifled wherever possible. Péter Márki-Zay, the prime ministerial candidate, appears several times in the film, and international opinion leaders have high hopes for him, alongside domestic opposition voices. It is telling that the mayor of Hódmezővásárhely in which he speaks of building a 'fascist dictatorship'. What is not included in the documentary, however, is that the left-wing politician himself said: >'But what Viktor Orbán embodies in one person, this rainbow coalition, so to speak, of liberals, communists, conservatives and fascists - we represent this separately in the alliance'. In addition to factual errors, a visual deception was also included in the documentary. When the German narrator talks about, Viktor Orbán is sitting in the newly renovated palace, the Buda Castle Palace is shown, not the Carmelite monastery, where the Prime Minister's Office and the office of the Prime Minister moved in 2019. But the Prime Minister does not live there anyway.
