The only reason we in Europe aren't cut off of Russian energy right now is because their energy companies which are exempt from the sanctions are one way for Russia to resuscitate their central bank and rubble. Nevertheless, our Prime Minister said we will disconnect our country from the dependency on Russia's energy as soon as possible and we will take extra debt to do it.
I think Putin has permanently reshaped the world trade and the relationship between west and Russia.

I'm not mad at the Russian people either but I understand the revenge mentality between countries. Surely some babushka who lives in a forest cabin isn't at fault if Putin goes to war. Voting doesen't matter in Russia and if you challenge the police they will break your skull with a baton.
EU has been speaking about being less dependent on Russia for decades but Putin's war with Ukraine pushed everyone over the edge in one week. It also completely changed Germany's policy with their army, maybe they can be like France and UK in the future.

I'll tell you a secret: the US and its client states were anyway going to impose more sanctions on Russia whenever they could find excuses, until they reached maximum sanctions.
Maximun sanctions are not even close yet, there is more to come.

What exactly do I have to cope for? I support the sanctions as much as the elites do. The current situation shouldn't end for a very long time.
