To all the Russians of Any Forums
Have your daily lives been affected so far by sanctions and the declining value of the rouble? What are people saying about it?
No shilling or war discussions please, there’s /uhg/ and /chug/ for that

We Serbs are experts on sanctions we had them 3 times and all i can say its that im jelous on Russian right now becuase they are fucking cheating, back in my day we didnt had neigbours country that were willing to help, we had to swim to Romania in makeshift rafts to smuggle luxury goods, gasoline, high tech shit. So Russians are chilling hard, from my expirience i can tell you sanctions will make some men poor but also they will make some men very rich, smuggling is very lucrative business! All current tycoons in Serbia smuggled cigarettes and gasoline during 90ties!
>Did sanctions ruined our lives
no
>Did they made us turn on our president at that time
no
>What did they do
nothing
Ruble was declining for almost a decade now, so i don't really care anymore. Most of us are just confused with all this shit and tons of controversial news
sanctions didn't ruin your lives because they are already absolute misery
>i am going to make money smuggling phones!
holy cope
Im afraid you are coping, during our sanctions that were much more difficult than Russian ones, becuase we dont have crude materials sources steel/oil/coal/gas and our factories and domestic goods are shit we also dont have 4,133 kilometers long border with a friendly country that is not affected by them. Russians will be fine, we survived hyperinflation, its bad but not the end of the world... Plus Russians play this on easy mode cause all i listed above.
Yes. I'm freelancing for Canadian/American/Australian companies and I'm worried about my job. So far my clients seemed compassionate but I'm not sure they won't dump me anytime soon.
I signed a contract with a European company literally 3 hours before the war and I was waiting for it for half a year, now it's kinda ruined.
Also I spent several days opening bank accounts because mine got under sanctions and I can't get my money from abroad anymore. I will probably not get it this month and I worked really hard and was going to buy an apartment and finally leave my parents' home.
I was also hoping for starting a family or something in the coming years since I was finally financially stable but I don't want to have kids anymore.
tl;dr my life was ruined in an hour by a crazy manlet
>tons of controversial news
More controversial than denazificstion of Ukraine?
im not russian but my gf is mad because price of roubles dropped and now she doesn't have enough monies for a laptop to game on.
Not really. Prices of electronics sky-rocketed tho, so no hope for a new card or phone for now.
What else? Food and produce is the same for now, but I expect up to 200% price increase, now I'm stocking a little bit, at least for the next 3-6 month.
I work in the cinema as a projector mechaninc and we're lost like 1/2 of our scheduled movies now, that's fun.
People in general are very, very sad right now. We don't even talk to each other much, it's so sad.
In 5-10 years I hope it would be resolved, it's definitely not the end, I've seen worse. The Winter has come, now it's time to take care of yourself and your family.
Your are also a tiny ass country as compared to the biggest country in the world. I don't think it's as easy to smuggle ciggies to Murmansk as it is to smuggle them to Belgrade.
Prices for medicine/drugs skyrocketed almost immediately. PC/hardware market (if somehow you could find and afford anything) died again. And thats only the beginning. At least cigarettes still cost the same. I smoke so much my heart aches.
>People in general are very, very sad right now. We don't even talk to each other much, it's so sad.
True. I've never seen so many people who look shell-shocked for days
Why would state stop smugglers? During our sanctions state was encoring us to do it because it was maintaining social peace. Im telling you only people that gonna be affected by this will be westernized zoomers in the big cities that are now cut off from western culture, freelancers and company owners that worked directly with EU, so realisticaly 10-15% of population. Some Oleg from Novosibirsk wont even noticed it. Only Moscow and ST.Petersburg kids gonna mald.
>Only Moscow and ST.Petersburg kids gonna mald.
Coincidentally, those are the only places in Russia that actually matter
You have no idea how easy it is to get stuff across the Russo-Norwegian border. (Not that I would know anything PST; please stop watching me)
I get USD money so I am even better now
The other day I wrote these words, which came directly from heart. I'll share it here:
/ You can’t ignore us anymore. You can’t continue to neglect our core principles and punish us every time we try to defend them.
…even by hurting ourselves.
“Бeй cвoих, чтoбы чyжиe бoялиcь…”
But as always, I feel russian invincible optimism shall prevail. The war will be over and this new wound in our nation's tragic destiny will inevitably heal. As all those previous wounds history inflicted upon us. And we’ll wear this new scar as countless others with pride and dignity. /
I am sorry guys, we are all fren here. I really hope you kill the manlet and install a sane government
бaзиpoвaнный
Did you send 80% of you dollars to glorious Putin already?
Yes, I have been selling everyday now, waiting for this shit show to be over so I could buy 2 apartments instead of one
Godspeed Rusky bro
Let’s hope he gets kadhafi’d soon

So same shit like our sanctions, people in cities were rioting because of sanctions and had to be repressed by police nobody else cared and cursed the Americans for implementing it. Our sanctions were implemented in April 1992 and lifted January 2001! It was hard but survivable.

We can live without netflix and nikes and ipads. It's not a big deal.
sorry to hear that ruski user, hope things get better soon and all this blows over. stay safe
Find a job for Russian company.
As an outsider that sounds fucking horrible. Drop a bunch of angry Texans in your place and no doubt we would storm the Kremlin in a weeks time and rally armed families. Hell, 30% drop overnight us Texans might burn every government building down within sight.
Feels bad man.
It cripples the economy and creates debt, also birthrates go even lower than usual. It's a fuck up
