IQ and middle income trap

Is middle income trap really just countries reaching their genetic limit?

This dutch guy made an interesting point when I asked what stopped Brazil and South Africa and Chile from escaping middle income trap while Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea could.. is there really a genetic limit? Even if a country like Chile had strong economic policies, genetics still over ride that?

Bump for interest

The highest level of manufacturing requires 150+ IQ individuals.
If you cannot as a country muster people with such intellect, you will only be able to manufacture up to your intellect limit.

Basically this. The biggest innovations are the result of very few genetic mutants. When you shift an IQ bell curve left, those geniuses become exponentially rarer.

And what is this highest level of manufacturing? Can you define it?

We’d be 100+ without certain imported demographics.

each of the named reasons plays a part, with each country having a different distribution of the reasons
there are hard caps like gave an example for which however will never be mentioned anywhere publicly
of course big trends like a country's growth slowing down as it approaches wage levels of the country where the investments come from do apply
but then we wouldn't have countries like japan (100MM people iirc, so even a bad bell curve can yield some useful people) which don't just hang around at ((white people) - 1) but do their own thing
without the literal tutorial help of natural resources like south africa or brazil

darkies just aren't that bright, but complex systems are complex
those two claims live next to each other in the same world

Bump

Things get ever more complicated, indeed.

It takes nigger+ IQ to invent something, like the wheel. It takes white or mediterranean people to innovate things to unimaginable levels (risk aversion and high IQ). And so we have Formula 1 and military quality wheels. Then, the most autistic bug people like japan and germany can perfect the manufacturing and design of it.

Brazilbugs, SEA monkeys, what can they hope to do? Go to Philippines, Thailand etc. and observe.

Computer parts are pretty IQ demanding, and they're mostly made in East Asia. By contrast, Mexico makes cars and cheap consumer crap.

>Even if a country like Chile had strong economic policies
from what i've heard they won't anymore in the near future

high-class ethics make out of the same IQ stock a more productive cohort of economic activity
i define ethics in this case as approximation to the NAP
for example eastern europe has been lobotimized by communism, their countries are still recovering from it, even though before the commies took over they had as much share of the world's brilliance as you'd expect from "basically white people" in combination with the size of the country

latin america degraded economically (relative positions) in comparison to chile back when they more closely followed free market principles (in private life)

western white people are apparently getting smarter on raw IQ tests each generation, and have been for as long as we've been testing (roguhly 100 years?)
but economic growth was staggering right before the beginning of WW1, arguably capitalism without the state having caught up
nowadays we're presumably smarter, but we have higher tax rates in europe (also don't forget on top that with your taxed money you buy stuff, which then gets taxed again... what happens with the money in the next & next step?) than a literal plantation slave
and growth is so bad they have to invent pandemics and wars to keep the focus outwards

sooo if the resultant economy is the full grown adult
genetics is the kid
broader social ethics & state power is how many times it hits his head before coming of age

It's clear that Brazil became worse proportionally as the non White/Asian population grew. Also affirmative actions really rekt all our public and education institutions.

Yea whenever I read about the middle income trap I basically see South Korea and Singapore vs Brazil and South Africa as two different paths, escaping the trap and staying in the trap.

Do you think Bolsonaro can save Brazil from this middle income trap? If education and innovation really matters then I wonder how Bolsonaro would approach that

No they are not you faggot. It's countries that grew as fast as the US.

Why do you keep pushing something clearly false?

And you need a society in the 100 range to maintain it. You could be born a genius in an African village and you could be the most efficient hunter, trapper, gardener or whatever around but there wouldn't be much opportunity to use your genius and no one around you would appreciate it.

Lmfao, you’re the same guy as yesterday.

Never thought I’d encounter and recognize someone twice on Any Forums.

I’m not trying to push a narrative or an agenda or propaganda, I’m just talking about a concept widely agreed on “middle income trap”

One would think that all this could hint you at IQ tests not measuring anything really useful in practice.

Not too long ago i was sympathetic to hans herman hoppe and paleo libertarian ideas.

Although I still believed in natural inequalities between cultures and men, I thought that Chile was proof that proper macroeconomies was more important then race.

After all, Argentina is more white then Chile yet Chile is easily more successful.

Just look at picrel, Chile is easily the best in Latin America. They’re in opec. Sure they’re less white then Argentina, but they had the best economic policies with Chicago boys.

Then I read this

> Even as it caught stardust as Latin America’s leanest and most efficient economy, Chile has dawdled on innovation. Compared with its wealthier peers in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, last year Chile ranked dead last in spending on research and development, just behind Mexico, investing a paltry 0.38 percent of gross domestic product. It also registered an underwhelming 3,274 patents in 2016, out of more than 62,000 in the region.

Struggling with innovation…

Never heard of that until that post.

And it really is what I say it is. If you drew a line y=x then the countries righ on it grew exactly as fast as the US did, those above left from it grew faster, those to the right below grew slower. That is all that it says. It doesn't in any way say that it's stuck in any sort of economic limbo, only that it didn'tgrow much faater than the US did.

Bumping a good thread.

in the real world and in particular the real academic world, advanced studies are in essence an international endevour and most if not every country has international people in these "high iq" professions and positions. i think the question is rather if such advanced professions and their industries are worthwile pursuing in the first place. Maybe its not possible for every country to even start getting into these industries. because the problem of "high iq" doesnt matter, educated people will come from outside. The reason why it may be hard to get into those industries i dont know tho, might still have smth to do with intellegence of the average person..

>And you need a society in the 100 range to maintain it. You could be born a genius in an African village and you could be the most efficient hunter, trapper, gardener or whatever around but there wouldn't be much opportunity to use your genius and no one around you would appreciate it.
thats just because thats who ruled before
future societies ruled by asians will require their average 105 if not higher because the lower iqs can then be entirely replaced by machines instead of empowered by them

>Chile ranked dead last in spending on research and development, just behind Mexico
tedpilled
this just means they are happy
but yes being happy is terrible for creating innovation

Yes, bring stupid and predisposed to crime limits the potential for economic development, but the jewed academia can’t recognize this fact.

The retards here screw up even the simplest tasks and the sociopaths transform every detail of what you want to do into a stupid power trip or a scam for gibs.

*being stupid

They are talking about the average intellect, not the peak.

To add on this post

> Lost in the partisan noise is the failure of both the markets-first strategy and state stewardship to diversify the economy or enhance productivity. “Chile’s done well with copper, wine, fruit and forestry, seafood and a bit of manufacturing – the same as it has for the last 25 years,” said Nagel. “But the trouble is making the leap to other industries.”

So we’re seeing the same pattern. These countries (Chile, Brazil, etc) that rapidly grew and became exporters with raw goods and industry are now faced with a new challenge.

They have to innovate.

This isn’t just IQ, but also having stability, competent leadership to implement education reform, social cohesion, etc.

But having a population with above average IQ to the rest of the world is useful…

>picrel, the 10 most innovative economies with S Korea, Singapore, Sweden, the usual suspects

See

Never thought about this

Why are you pushing high IQ out of nowhere? Too high IQ only makes you sure you know things that are false. High IQ doesn'tgive you the right answer on anything that was not created so that the answer that high IQ people give is correct.

i only accept criticism of IQ and it's applications/implications from high IQ people, sorry.

Attached: fhlthpawxut51.png (500x441, 102.65K)

I measure high. Nothing to be sorry about.

It's just not how the world works, I'm sorry.

Of course every country has their own geniuses

Even Haiti had their own military genius, remarkable man. But compare the average intellect of the Haitians class to Finland or Estonia’s commoners.

Stark contrast, and we know a good part of Iq is genetic so class won’t matter as much

>but yes being happy is terrible for creating innovation

Kek good point

>Be African genius (105 IQ)
>Aid worker suggests you invest in a bread oven
>Build oven, buy flour, make bread
>village big shot comes around
>"Hey! You have bread! I have 8 kids who need bread! Gibs me dat!"
>Investment lost
>Back to mud cookies I guess
>Many such cases. Sad.

The African super geniuses (120 IQ) figure out that the best courses of action are to not strive for anything, or find out some way to milk White liberals.
