Are those Vostok/Zapad battalion? They are technically a special forces unit, but because of their low recruit pool they are most likely worse than Russian Spetsnaz units. But they are better than grunts, and much better especially than those 20y/o recruits Russia sent in in the first wave.
When the Russian fighting formations strike there will be saving the Ukies.

There was a war like 30 years ago in Chechnya. It entirely consisted of an insurgency. So for whatever reason people attribute this as to the Chechens being good fighters when there’s absolutely no logical reason to believe so. Yes, they might’ve had a war over 30 years ago but why would that translate to experienced soldiers now? They haven’t had any fighting experience since then and all the experienced fighters from back then are old, probably 50-60 years old. None of those old farts are being sent to Ukraine.
