Battleships are indestructible. Yamato was rivet construction. There was never a battleship sunk in a real battle, at sea, by aircraft despite great effort to do so.
Korean War had 5 carriers and japan destroyed all the American naval air power, carriers are totally useless and die quickly.

None were sunk. Except pow because the camshaft destroyed the ship

The reason we moved away from battleships is after WWII we took a bunch of ships and nuked the shit out of them. The conclusion was that while the ships survived, it was too irradiated for the crew. This is why we have cheap disposable paper ships, because it's better to get your cheap paper ships with minimal crew lost vs a massive BB with thousands of sailors.
We kept the carriers because muh force projection.

>Battleships are indestructible except the countless times they were fucked up
no useful conversation will happen here, it's Any Forums not /k/. sage
