Russia is protecting its long term (100-200 year) economic and strategic interests by invading ukraine
we all know ukraine joining nato is inevitable wothout russian action
russia tried puppet government but was couped
Ukraine represents a rival petrostate to Russia in Europe (why he annexed crimea, oil reserves in black sea) and a NATO aligned Ukraine is a strategic DISASTER for russia, makes a massive border on open plains vs a Russia aligned ukraine makes a more easily defensible border.
Also LPR and DPR and legit movements which deserve to win because the majority of people who live in these areas do not want to be ruled by ukraine
and last but not least:
it should be spelt Kiev not Kyiv
dont care if its redditspacing or if i sound like a newfag those are my conclusions and they are correct
Russia is morally right no matter how you look at it

>I tend to stay away from moralistic judgments as they are highly subjective and of scant interest to me. But I will make a brief exception here. It would have been vastly better for all concerned had the unity of the Russian World - brutally contorted under the Bolsheviks, outright torn apart in the Belovezha Betrayal - been restored through boring but bloodless bureaucratic integration vehicles before the Euromaidan ruled it out, or even genuine federalization under Minsk II, had it ever been conscientiously implemented. It is Western Supremacists and their local collaborators who hoodwinked part of our people with sweet lies and false promises, humiliating and exploiting them even as they turned their hands against their brothers and sisters, who are the real authors of the present war. All the blood is on their hands. They started this war, but I believe that we will end it, quickly and humanely, and then we will make the miscreants answer for their crimes.

Yeah they're probably right but it's funny watching them fuck up this badly
Russia is right because of the LPR and DPR, but nothing else.
>Supporting who is morally right in a war and not who serves your interest
Lmao
I'm being neutral here because I understand Russia's position despite almost everyone here just calling Poutine evil. NATO fucked over Russia big time and definitely WILL use Ukraine against them if left alone.
In other words, its a long term bet to secure a buffer for Russia proper and securing holding to important oil routes and the blacc sea.
BRUSSELS
Russian President Vladimir Putin's decision to attack Ukraine was "terrible strategic mistake," NATO leaders said on Friday, vowing to strengthen the alliance's eastern flank.
NATO condemned "in the strongest possible terms Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, enabled by Belarus," said a joint statement following an extraordinary meeting of NATO heads of state and government to discuss Moscow's military operation and the allies' response to it.
The leaders urged Russia to immediately halt the military intervention and withdraw forces from Ukraine.
"This long-planned attack on Ukraine, an independent, peaceful and democratic country, is brutal and wholly unprovoked and unjustified," they pointed out, underlining that the world would hold Russia and Belarus accountable for their actions.
"President Putin's decision to attack Ukraine is a terrible strategic mistake, for which Russia will pay a severe price, both economically and politically, for years to come," the NATO leaders said, promising "massive and unprecedented sanctions."
They weren't going to join nato, but with this events they all will join the nato.
Everything happening is chain of bad decisions made by Russia.
On of them is the Ukrainization.
Isn't 2022 but too late for invasions?
You are right. This war has longterm profits for Russia. In about 20 years, nobody will care about it

kek
>he thinks his globohomo overlords asking for more wars in white countries have his best interests in mind
>muh national intrests
>morally right
you dont know what morality, like most chud heretics
yeah true. Obviously it would be nice to have a buffer state you control but you dont care about in a war. I'd like some buffer states too please.
Oh only superpowers get those? well Russia better hope they are still a superpower. It takes a lot of strength in all kinds of areas to be a superpower. Seems like they dont deserve to have buffer states anymore.
You are a fucking retard just like the Russians.
>utterly ruin yourself and every other country in eastern europe
>impoverish and make enemies of every single person on earth who shares your language, culture, and land
>DIS BE IN MY STRUTEEGIK INTURESTS HURR DURR DURR

>Russia is morally right cause it's beneficial for it to attack Ukraine.
That's not how morality works.
So how is morally right to bomb and kill children for your own insterst?
Selfish indiscriminate killing for your own benefit is the opposite o morally right.
Paranoid mobgoloid pol tard delusion.
Both stolen territories are stolen territories. Just because there are russkies somewhere doesn't mean they can decide to vote and secede. Otherwise Ukrainians should do the same, go live somewhere in Russia and then decide to make a vote and secede. I take it you would support them then?
Second Ukraine do what they want, Russia doesn't get to decide what all his neighbors do. This is paranoid, no one would have invaded Russia if Ukraine joined nato. They just wouldn't be able to violate the airspace every day or invade if they feel like to.
Also not mentionning
>nazis with a Jewish presiden
>why do they try to retake their own stolen territories, so bad, Russians voted to take it for them, it's DEMOCRATIC
