Nobody could afford the food

In the 30's you had not only the depression but also the dust bowl. When people lost their jobs they could not afford to buy their own food, thus the breadlines while also the food costs themselves skyrocketed because of failed crops and harvests. Good times.

Food isn't free... USA is a struggle. Immigrants who came here on free gibs is a massive betrayal to all the people that have worked within the rules and played the hand we were dealt.

So a country could produce enough food one year that feeds everyone and some of it is even wasted, and then the next year produce the same amount of food but people starve? All because of economic issues?

The majority of people aren’t motivated enough to run a bakery. It’s much harder than it looks.

During a depression the strong get separated from the weak. Those with skill end up actually doing better than the mindless drones who just punch a clock

right and during normal economy we have them. Personally I prefer to just do everything myself because the drones make too many mistakes and everything takes longer. Its a character flaw on my part I know.

It's a waste of time to get perfection when it's within tolerances to get good enough.
