yes they will die soon. only boomers pay for cable and nobody watches that shit on the internet. the writing is on the wall and CNN, Fox, etc already know this which is why they are trying (and failing) to pivot to streaming platforms. in 10 years there will be no CNN or MSNBC. Fox might hang on but who knows. CBS, ABC, NBC will just get merged into their parent company's streaming shit. The other non-news cable channels are already dead, they just play repeats of The Office or Ridiculousness or whatever 24/7

Wut no. Massive difference between cable and broadcast. Broadcast will likely never die and will actually expand with the demise of cable. Analog broadcast was discontinued 15 years ago and now local broadcast can carry hypothetically an infinite amount of channels. Mine has dozens if not over 100. Only 50 years ago this same city had only one single station.
