I saw someone replying to me in another thread: >It's not realistic that you a random citizen should expect to have all the information regarding a country's national security... and certainly not a foreign country's national security. Russia has signaled that they would be forced to war if ukraine pursued this.... and so they drew a red line. The red line was not respected and so they went to war.
So he's saying Russia gets to dictate what their neighbors alliances will be. If you don't adhere to it, you get invaded. How many countries would be invaded now if their neighbor disliked their alliances? Brazil joined BRICS, can all their neighbors invade them now if they don't like that? Iran has alliances with Russia, Pakistan etc. Can Israel nuke it now and Saudi's invade it now?
It's absurd. They love to bring up the Bay of Pigs. Did was invade Cuba? Oh we only placed an embargo. Read a fucking history book. There was an embargo way before the missile crisis.

The excuses for war are just political theatre. Putin is a Russian Nationalist who wants to unite the Russian people under one Empire. He definitely over-estimated the number of ethnic Russians in Ukraine who actually want to join Russia, however.
Dont sign agreements that you dont intend to honor. Why is the west behind ukraine who doesn’t even honor their agreements?

Yeah m8, I hate capitalism too, down with capitalism.
Good to see some fellow commies here.

crimea is probably a more interesting study at this point as all the subsequent actions just kind of come naturally from that point. basically russia sucks at soft power and is throwing a temper tantrum which is going to set them back even further.

why did nato need to sign a deal that would let them put missiles on putin's border? why did ukraie need to bomb civillians in donbas? Why do ukrainians need to ban the russian language? and why do they glorify a nazi soldier?
Aaron Anderson
OP addressed the shitty arguments in your meme. You addressed none of them.
Austin Williams
What, you think Hunter Biden orchestrated the entire thing? To do what exactly? Destabilize the country where he’s making bank? How exactly did he convince the Ukrainian people to literally die for the US? Through the PR department of his gas company lmao? And what did he gain exactly? Do you have any idea what the implication for the world would be if it there was evidence that The US literally orchestrated Euromaidan? I’m super curious. Vive la Ukraine! Vive la resistance
Kayden Wilson
Why did Russia need in invade Donbas in the first place faggot?
Russophiles are disgusting. Russia can do no wrong. Bro the wet and Russia are both fucked in their own ways.

>love to bring up the Bay of Pigs. Did was invade Cuba? Oh we only placed an embargo
Bay of pigs was the invasion
A year later you had the Cuban missile Crisis, where the USSR turned around instead of going through the blockade (which was legally considered an act of war). If the soviets persisted, they would have been nuked. Maybe the blockade lets them through, but at some point if the us calculates that soviets are on the verge of getting nuclear primacy thanks to Cuba they likely get nuked.
Most likely Putin saw that there was no diplomatic way to stop NATO from opportunistically inching up to his red line. So it's quiet literally this war now or nuclear war in a few years. Which is why he's willing to put his country in this position for a generation, since that's still preferable to nuclear war.

They need missiles on the border because there is a real risk of Russia invading them, as they just proved
