This metric isn't useful. Most rubles are in Russia, which has just been disconnected from SWIFT. This means it's now extremely difficult to access USD in Russia, and to conduct transactions between Russian and USD-using companies. So Yeah, the Ruble is plummeting compared to the USD, but that doesn't mean, for example, that prices are inflating in Russia, what it means is that dollars are suddenly extremely valuable in Russia. 10 Rubles last week still probably buys 10 Rubles of goods this week. But 10 dollars last week now buys 50 dollars of goods this week.
