Some will be after governments become so incredibly Draconian that they welcome their annexors as liberators. The cartels don't have nearly as much power in this country. Their operations here are costly and surreptitious. They still sell drugs here, so they are still profitable, but they're not a government of ghouls that rules openly, because our system is more apt to deal with them. After Mexico is annexed, the cartels will rapidly downsize and go into hiding.

Half of Mexico already lives here, and now Mexico is being colonized by white Mormons, who have 9 kids per woman. You get annexed because our war on the cartels ends up with a forward deployment on your soil. Your government, unable to assert power over even the cartels, much less the American military, simply goes into hiding and allows Mexico to become a giant battlefield, where we make quick work of the cartels and occupy the country until the states start holding referendums to join as American states.

I feel like this is really overblown for the US. I can unironically see us taking Canada considering how quickly things are going down with them, but that's not going to happen for another three years at least and only with the right president who's willing to force it.
Japan I think, as strange as it sounds, would be the next logical partner for annexation after potentially turning our territories into states, but it might be a very hard sell to the Japanese and even to the average American (adding French as a national language would put a lot of people off, let alone Japaneese).
Australia would be difficult I think and would be far more difficult to convince despite there being no such language barrier. I feel like the people in power in Australia simply would never stand for it.

Those who are over 65 are 25 fucking percent of the population, compared to America's 16% elderly population, and the birthrates are STILL going down. 40% of Japanese women are virgins and there's no sign of this changing.
