They know full well that Zelenskyy wants civilian mass death to use as atrocity propaganda. Hence why he's been arming untrained civilians and sending them out there. There is absolutely no way a country anywhere near as well armed and funded by NATO as Ukraine is to be so utterly desperate they'd need to send untrained civvies into battle only days in. That shit is militarily insane and suicidal. Even the Volksturm in 1945 when Germany was completely battered and broken had rudimentary training and organisation. The only explanation is that they want civilian deaths to make Russia look evil.
