Not diaspora myself but I've met people from every balkan country (except Slovenia). I do agree that Albania is the worst but I found it funny that all the countries that went to shit on it are countries that the Albanians either had taken territory from or have large Albanian populations that are trying to take territory from them.

I lived in Germany for 6 months and I met a handful of Serbs. They're some of the ugliest people I've ever seen. They look just like Turks. I legitimately thought they were gypsies until my German friend told me they were Serbian.

Albanians have semi-valid claims to autochtony, at the very best. They are cheeky and they will feel entitled to the hand very quickly if you give them your finger.
I do have friends among them. There are those that are very honorable and I respect them. But as a whole, ESPECIALLY Kos*yvars, they are a garbage people with little to no shame.
Kos*yvars are the kind of people who like to bark pretty loudly and the moment you smack their main dude, the rest scuttles away. They'll blame you for racism later, of course. That's how they are.

I have a friend that's from Bosnia and his dad worked privately as a plumber in yugo-Bosnia and they could start businesses and go on vacation. I don't know if yugo-Serbia was more like hard-communism like the Soviets but I expect that Serbia also ran a much softer form of communism so people could still own their own business.
