But Ukraine's gas wouldn't make Russia useless, it would make Putin useless. Putin relies solely on his gas monopoly in Europe to rule Russia. He is protected from the west, because the west needs his gas, and he is protected from the Russian people, as he can supply a giant personal army of loyal dogs with his gas money. He cant care less about all the sanctions, because they dont involve gas trade. The west will never hurt their own economic interests, the gas must flow. And all the businesses that go bankrupt in Russia, all the people that suffer from sanctions and will now have to live on 100$ a month or less, they can go fuck themselves for all that Putin cares, he can literally genocide them all and replace them with immigrants from Central Asia.
