Kremlin has spent too many damn years planning against poor Arab terrorist cells. Ukraine is a weaker force but they are not Arabs. They are Europeans and they will fight like Europeans. I think this is probably where Russia miscalculated the most. The Ukrainian fighting spirit is going to be way stronger than any Arab force they've ever planned against.
