Do you think a Chinese invasion of Taiwan would go this badly?

It would go worse because it’s an amphibian invasion

> 2nd or 1st most militarily experienced country in the world land invasion from 3 sides

>one of the least experienced military nations in the world that has never won a real war and (it's embarrassing) still has functional commissars embedded all the way down to brigades

chinese soldiers literally have to address the commander and the commissar at the same time and wait for them to agree to make a decision. It's in their own movies.

it would certainly be successful.
It would certainly be an ABSOLUTE SHITSHOW of bloodshed and incompetence

If Russia's invasion of Ukraine continues to be this bad then China will not attempt an invasion of Taiwan this decade.

Not to mention that a big chunk of the PLA is still loyal to the Jang Zhemin faction, so I doubt the comm structure will be anything but fluid.

agreed, and in some ways this is actually the most important part of the war in Ukraine. Whether the chinese will give up prematurely.

Especially if putin eats a bullet or polonium it could signal even worse things for china.

china will just slowly infiltrate the government. its their best strategy, after all it works everywhere they try it…

There'd be less political hampering of objectives, but yeah, prettymuch.

Invasion of taiwan is cancelled, this much blowback over ukraine is not acceptable to china economically & politically, even if they were 100% technologically independent.

Xi & Politburo are shelving the invasion plans, HK is enough for them i guess. They will probably refocus on current attempts to catch up in technologies and maybe try to find ways to supply russia under the table like north korea

It would go worse because:
1. 2. China's military hasn't been in any actual combat in... what... 50 years? (Killing your own civilians doesn't count). They have no operational experience. The minute something doesn't go according to training, they'll all spill their spaghetti and get annihilated
3. See the American Javelins vs Russian Tanks? Imagine that, except Taiwan also has American fighters, boats, a2a missiles, a2g missiles, electronic warfare, etc....

russia sucks at war and china is even worse the us could ass rape either , russia can’t even keep up supply chains , can’t support a 3 prong attack with air etc . china who got assblasted by india would be worse off

China rarely does hot wars for annexation. They rather slowly absorb Taiwan under their sphere of influence.

Why is there a picture of a black man in chinese parliament?

Also, it remains to be seen whether China would be able to successfully blockage Taiwan from US material/military support. If they fail to do so, the war will become a tower defense game for Taiwan.

i don't think xi is that unhinged yet to do something this dumb. anyway china wants to incorporate taiwan economically. this method would be counter-intuitive

Yes it would be a clusterfuck of untested sedentary zoomer bugbois trying to pull off a massive Amphibious landing. Main options are blowing Taiwan to completely rubble thus rendering it worthless to take anyway. China will wait for a while yet before they attempt it.

Exactly

>this bad
what exactly is bad about it so far? that they haven't taken over in a day? retard

also worth noting ukraine is not directly allied with anyone and it's the cucked euros who decide what to do...

taiwan is guranteed by the USA and a host of much more war-oriented/hawkish countries

(australia, japan, maybe india)

russian miscalculation on degree of local support, unless foabs are falling on every inch of ukraine, poccnr is going to have partisans all over its lines
