Is this your first war? Le epic celebrities fighting and le epic grannies with machineguns were on TV news and newspapers in the Yugoslav wars and they were just as obviously fake.
The thing is, getting actual genuine battle footage is really hard, especially one that's not super shaky and always out of focus. So to keep the 24/7 news media machine running they have to fill the gaps with all the other garbage.

Yes but we have global, instant communication now. Shouldn’t Ukrainians be posting photos and videos of these huge Russian forces attacking, or have they all managed to evacuate already? I seen video of Russian troops parachuting in, but there’s only like 3 of them and they’re landing in an empty field. Videos of Ukrainian soldiers, but there’s like 5 of them and they’re just fucking around in a little forest doing nothing. Photos of a single Ukrainian soldier on a bridge that he’s solely defending, and everything around him looks war torn but there’s not a single Russian in sight
This. '03 felt super weird at first then after about a month and a half later we started seeing more and more hard shit and it really sunk in that we were actually invading another country. At least that's how me and my friends and family felt.
