The amount of territory (square kms) you control does not equal the amount of cities, airspace, and roads you control, and those 3 aforementioned things are not all created equal. For example, Odessa and Mauripol, while not the capital, are much more important than 30K square miles of nothing. The supply line/route between Kyiv and Lviv is important. And there are also political considerations, like liberating Donbass. This isn't a fucking speedrun kek

My question is what is the Ukrainian order of battle. We all have sort of a view of the Russian progress but where are Ukrainian forces? Why is the western media not telling us more about their whereabouts? Western media is biased?

Russia is in shambles over the extreme resistance they are facing everywhere in Ukraine. Right now, Russian leadership is trying their hardest to get Ukraine to open a dialog but Ukraine is not having it and Russia is now realizing the huge blunder they have made on the world stage.

There's so much noise, propaganda, shitposting, and of course emotion that it's hard to tell what's true. The safe thing to do is assume all of it is bullshit. You need to be autistic and look at the facts. From what I hear, the general consensus is that the Russian forces that are physically in Ukraine is a small fraction of the total force that was amassed at the Ukranian border. Only the Russians truly know why it's going down like this. But in my opinion, if Russia is able to conquer Ukraine with this force, it would be more impressive and send a bigger message to the whole world, even if it took a month.
