It -was- a possibility, however the chinks in typical bugmen fashion decided to sacrifice dozens of towns upstream and who knows how many people by blowing up their smaller dams with no previous evacuation warning whatsoever to divert water away from TGD and keep it manageable until flood season was over. It appears Taiwan has their defensive missiles on one of their islands closer to the mainland.

Come to think of it, depending on Taiwan's stockpile of missiles, it's worth wondering whether or not a naval invasion could ever succeed against them, especially considering -- according to the image -- some of their missiles are specifically designed as "anti-ship missiles."

Recognizing that Taiwan is a global semiconductor power, it's probable that they have fairly advanced missiles that are likely quite accurate.

Just reflecting on that image, and this thread's OP post, one wonders why Beijing would ever risk an invasion of Taiwan; it just doesn't seem to be possible. Seriously. There's a strong possibility Taiwan could wipe-out an entire invading Beijing fleet all on their own -- again, depending on how many missiles they have, their locations (Beijing would probably try to target them), and their stockpile of said munitions.

Anyways, blah blah blah, just wanted to share that image of Taiwan's missiles in the context of a Taiwanese defense against Beijing.
