They need the Russia thing to be soooo big in everyone's minds, that it explains the cyber attacks, destruction of the western financial system, increasing energy costs, inflation, shortages, increasing all-cause mortality, and the upcoming necessity of restrictions on our rights. If people linked these things to policy decisions of our governments, rather than a foreign menace, it would be a disaster for those in charge.
I expect soon we will see restriction of the internet, to prevent russian hacking, but really to justify censorship. And hacking of banks will create the pretense for CBDC and an overhaul of the system, but really this is necessary to maintain control of the populace as their lifestyles are reduced.
