There have been many threads talking about how the Russian advance has been stalled or that Ukraine is somehow defeating Russia.
I attribute this to the piranha swarm of disinformation shills trying to alter reality or the perception of reality through propaganda and the short attention span of today's generation who things wars only last as long as a First Person Shooter video game.
Are those two maps at the same scale? Also, Iraq has very dense population centers with a ton of deserted desert. Ukraine has a much more spread out population. Conquering and holding Ukraine is going to be much tougher than conquering and holding Iraq.
I haven't checked on the scale but I suspect it is NOT to scale. I agree that conquering and holding Ukraine will be much tougher than Iraq, which makes the gains they have already made that much more impressive.

Do you realize that the big country sharing 3000 km of borders with Ukraine is Russia right? And that the other country to the north is Belarus, an ally of Russia?
How do these two maps even compare?

Here is a website I've been browsing during the last few days. The site appears to be VERY pro-Russian so you should take claims with a grain of salt. There is so much propaganda on both sides that it makes the truth hard to discern. But the the sheer ridiculous stridency of the Western Disinformation shills makes the other side seem tame in comparison.
this guy is a fucking retard, the russian plan was obviously to get this over with in 24-48 hours. They assumed the president would flee, and his soldiers would assume the Russian military was so powerful, they had no chance. Their bluff was called. Truckloads of weapons are on the way from NATO countries, this is only going to get tougher for Russia.
moreover, look at what you're hearing from captured russians. They have no idea what they're doing there. Apparently a bunch of conscripts, who aren't supposed to fight, were basically drafted into this and had no idea they were going to a war. Morale isn't exactly going to work on russia's side here.

>the russian plan was obviously to get this over with in 24-48 hours >CNN told me so it must be true

You are a retard.

it seems they sent their old/mediocre forces first

That's because Ruskies can't do a prolonged battle while the USbots had an infinite purse. Russia is on the brink of breaking.

So Russia isnt even using its actual soldiers yet and theyve gained that much ground? Impressive.
Aiden Ross
I think the creator of the map thought that most people would be smart enough to do the scaling themselves but I think he overestimated the general internet using populace.
Saudi Arabia is an ally of USA and so is Jordan. What is your point.

>Imagine thinking thata fullblown country would just give up its sovereignty while nearly all of its landmass is still remaining in its possession

Yeah, it's an absolute bitch move (for your own troops) which makes it very likely to be true: send in the expendable units first and have your enemy waste most of their ammo on them (and reveal their relative strengths and location)... Then you send in the real army.
William Hughes
Russians are at the border and they have supply lines
The offensive has no problems, we encircle the largest groups in the Donbas, enclosing them in a cauldron. Once this is done, they will be quickly destroyed and the rest of the defense will crumble like a house of cards. The problem of Ukraine for us is not in resistance, but in the vast territory and untimely actions of Putin. He should have done it in 2014 and then he would have had great support from the population of Ukraine and within Russia.
Even his spec ops don’t know what they’re supposed to do

Russia boarders ukrain, and had 200,000 troops stationed at the border before invasion. Iraq is across the earth from America
Nicholas Adams
NATO won't attack... Directly, at least. (though I wouldn't be surprised if we see some "volunteers/tourists" - two can play that game, Putin)
However, NATO does seem to be willing to send more ammo and supplies.
The best thing the Ukrainians can do is hold out as long as possible. Make themselves far more trouble than it's worth.
Gavin Smith
the ukranian army is better equiped and trained, esspecially in the past 8 years after the crimea annex. NATO and US provided a lot of arms and training.
Connor Roberts
One hasn't been hit by years of sanctions and has top of the line and tank missiles for the west
they thought the Ukrainians wouldn't fight back because they are dumb chauvinists.
Alexander Johnson
Its obvious and people who dont see it are fucking retarded. None of the real soldiers have been brought to the battlefield yet, none of the real modern weaponry or tactics. Everything weve seen has been 80s technology with very mediocre soldiers. Literally captured teenagers with 30 year old ak 47s and 2-3 magazines. Russia doesnt even field the "AK47" anymore. The stage is being set for actual warfare.
Bentley Anderson
You are all faggots.
A tank or mechanized infantry regiment marches at 150km/day tops. And that is providing that there is no fighting whatsoever. You will never see a column with all the supply lines behind it moving at 100km/h outside of combat.
What we are seeing is what a blitzkrieg looks like.

First confirmed images of Ghost of Kyiev are coming in now
>the russian plan was obviously to get this over with in 24-48 hours. You get this from Fox News or did you have lunch with the Russian ground forces commander yesterday and it just came up in conversation?
