Basically no. Even after a war is over, there typically is doubt about details here and there.

Historians always struggled with this but that's why some did massive levels of research later on when people will more honest / free to talk.

there are disinformation campaigns going on all over the internet and outside of it. Even besides that, there are going to be conflicting reports as people are panicked and scrambled, it'd be unreasonable to expect people to be completely logical and reliable when it comes to the sharing of information during war times.

Even before the internet, there have always been conflicting reports. Partly from error, partly from propaganda purposes. I don't understand the mentality that so many people here have of treating it as if everyone is lying.

Kinda off topic, but does anyone else think that for every actual paid kremlin / state department shill partaking in a organized disinformation campaign, theres 100 people doing it for free because they picked a side and went all in for whatever reason? That's why historians take and compare long form accounts of many witnesses and other evidence from all possible sources. It is possible but not easy at all to falsify it all.

It's a bit like a court trial. Even if you can't gather enough evidence or everyone seems to be lying somehow, you will probably at least notice that part.
