At this time Russian forces will start retreating, making it appear like they're being routed. This will happen all across the country, eventually "pushing the Russians out". The military will be hailed as heroes, the champions of the Ukrainian people, there won't be more escalation due to Russia's "defeat", they will negotiate with Putin personally and pretend that they're making a fair deal or that they're strong-arming Putin into said deal, maintaining Ukraine's pride and "democracy", when in reality it will all be orchestrated and manipulated under the table. This way there won't be any unrest or revolts. The people will accept the military, whomever the leading general is (in reality a Russian puppet) as the de-facto leader and hero, probably even erecting statues in his name--
