Add on top of this that Iraq was far less advanced and disciplined. The US also prepared the invasion for at least half a year on the Iraqi border. They also had help and went in with every single coalition partner. An insane amount of first world nations were involved in this invasion. If they really are this close to Kiev, then other Ukrainians aren't putting up a fight or the Russians are putting up an impressive performance so far
