He projects the same “righteous tough guy” image as Hitler, claiming that he’s fighting for Christianity against western liberal values.
His siding with China against the west is almost exactly like the non-aggression pact between Hitler and Stalin.
He will betray China when the time is right, and that will be his undoing. Just like Hitler trying to invade the Soviet Union.

But you’re right that a lot of circumstances right now are similar to how they were before the outbreak of WW2, so let’s see how that goes. Will he betray China? No, probably not.
