And that is exactly why days before Russian invaded Ukraine I said that Putin would do it, because any hard sanctions against Russian oil would hurt EU nations worse than Russia. Putin and Xi planned this move perfectly. Germany is moving closer to Russian interests out of necessity, and as Germany goes so does the other EU nations. This whole move by Putin was about isolating the US from our NATO allies over energy concerns. Next will be Xi taking Taiwan, throwing the world into economic chaos and further isolating the US. After that, they'll move on the dollar and try to take the world towards a crypto currency as the world's reserve currency.
