What this "war" has shown is that the meme of third world militaries refusing to fight an enemy that they don't believe they can win also applies to supposedly well disciplined European militaries. If Ukraine's army had fought this would be a much different war, but they didn't. 100% of the resistance so far has come from a handful of national guard units - the regular military deserted a few hours before the opening airstrikes.
There isn't any reason to think that things will be different in Georgia, especially because that's exactly what happened in South Ossentia in 2008 - that war was started when Georgia occupied the territory and ended a few days later when the Georgians abandoned it without a fight in the face of Russian airstrikes.
A 2022 war in Georgia likely plays out identically to Ukraine - the Georgian army gets wind that airstrikes are coming and every single one of them just takes off their uniform and goes home.
