Why did Putin gather oligarchs and tell them he had no choice but to invade?

So that he doesn't get couped.
Russian stock market dropped 50%. These guys are the stock market. They just lost half their money.
Why do Jews suck bleeding baby dicks?
>"What was happening left us with no choice," the Russian leader said during a televised meeting with business representatives, adding that "we had no other way of proceeding".
>Putin also said his country wanted to remain part of the world economy and had no plans to harm it.
>"Russia remains part of the world economy," Putin told the meeting after he ordered troops to invade Ukraine.
>"We are not going to damage the world economic system which we are part of," he said, adding he also did not want Russia to be excluded from the international economic community
Wow turns out the Jews are based and really were our greatest ally
No I'm wondering his rationale for invading. He told them "look, I had no choice. I had to invade Ukraine"
Seems vague on his part unless the media is omitting something.
At least Bush said "Saddam has Weapons of Mass Destruction" for justification.
"No choice" isn't really an answer.
I can't find much else about this
>>Seems vague on his part unless the media is omitting something.
They're omitting his entire statement, that's just a snippet from it. I'm sure he got up there and talked to them for a bit. I won't pretend to know what's really going on over there, I just know the view through the lens of our media is too skewed to give an honest picture and has its own agendas to push. I think his 'WMD' bit is something about the Ukraine government being dicks to some more-Russian type of slav but idk.

there's literally nothing elaborating about his speech today though I checked foreign outlets also.
they're all super brief. All they say is he
>Refuses to call it a war it's a "strategic operation"
>Had no other choice
70% if you adjust for the drop of the value of the Ruble
He is basically saying to them: "think about your family"
Offensive american armament in Ukraine, 700km from Moscow.
Suspicion of chemical weapons in labs.
Plea for help related to crimes against humanity perpetrated by the Ukranian administration towards the post Minsk accord separatists.
Century old western expansion into EU.
There are many reasons, these are a few we are allowed to know in mass media. Putin's initial 1 hour speech covers this.

hahahahahahaha
>liquid assets
oh no. anyway
Was it recorded? Would be interesting to watch. The lack of full first-party sources is what makes me suspicious always, like what is Russia's actual spin and not the spin our spin is claiming.
You can see it here
Weird speech. Some guy talks for 10 minutes and then Putin talks for the last 3 minutes
Putin sits down the whole time while talking
The other guy stands

You forget how much gold Russia has.
The rubble lost no value like it lost 2 cents

its pretty wild that it seems a world leader just gatherd all the people he is accountable to and apologised for what he felt he had to do
imagine biden meeting with the ceo of phizer and saying look we have to open up i know its bad for the profits
kek wild world
Because, fool. the politics is a collective activity.
They gonna hang him when they see their portfolios in the morning.
What's he thinking, Any Forums?
>Putin delivers a 1 hour history lesson explaining how the soviets formed Modern Ukraine and built into it the very problems leading to the conflict
You can literally watch a feature-film length lecture by Putin on Youtube answering all possible questions.
Here's the short version: He doesn't want a hostile nuclear power on his border financing terrorism and enabling other hostile nations the stage attacks that he believed they were planning.

Roger really gets around
So because he's a paranoid schizo he's sending his troops to die in a pointless brother war and taking Russia's entire economy down with him.
He'd better watch his back around his buddies he just fucked over.
the official transcript is different than the words spoken on Youtube by the translator
official one omits a bunch of Putin's speech from what I can tell?
interesting he says they were 'forced' and scared to think what Russia would become if they didn't invade
transcript with timestamps below. I cut out some of the filler "we must work hard stay strong" stuff but it's a pretty generic political speech:
>it came as a surprise we didn't reach any progress not a single inch even and i would like to underscore
>that so we had to do that we were forced to do that
>because the risks that we faced were so high that
>it would be hard to imagine how our country would continue to exist under such risks and we all understand what
>world we live in so one way or another
10:16
we were preparing ourselves
10:18
including to the restrictions and
10:21
sanctions that we face so we were
10:22
preparing ourselves to that but what i'm
10:25
going to say now is a very important
10:27
thing i would like to react to what
10:30
president
10:32
of the russian union of the
10:34
entrepreneurial industrialist said
10:36
mr alexander shohen
10:40
russia remains a part of the global
10:42
economy and in this
10:44
regard to the extent we stay part of
10:48
this global economy we are not going to
10:50
harm the system the part of which we
10:54
continue to feel ourselves we are not
10:57
going to deal any damage to the system
11:00
of the global economy
11:02
part of which we continue to be
11:05
to the extent we continue to be a part
11:07
of this system so i think our partners
11:10
should understand that and they
11:12
shouldn't set a goal to push us out of
11:14
I was just talking about the one today he had with the business men
I thought that was roger when I saw him. WTF POL!?
