Putin basically needs a second army to make sure the soldiers fighting don't desert, and he doesn't have anything like that. Putin needs about 1 million troops, and he doesn't have that.

not a lot will change, the same results just because of Russia invading in the first place which is potentially more states go nuclear to deter attacks on their sovereignty, or some will join NATO.
Like Finland might go NATO but if Ukraine survives this invasion, they'll go nuclear, because the world failed to defend them, so to them paper defenses mean nothing, they'll want nukes.
Either way I don't expect Ukraine to repel the invasion because this is a do or die moment for Putin. If Ukraine survives then Putin will have a nuclear armed nation with missiles pointed at him, and either way he's likely to have another NATO nation on his border.
