They believe Ukrainians and Belarussians aren't real nations but fake identities invented by Poland-Lithuania and later re-appropriated by the Germans and Soviets. In 2014, he was afraid that America was planning a colour revolution in Moscow. Now that the nationalists are dominant, they want to go further than just scare off the West. They want to put a new, pro-unification government in charge of Ukraine.
