I'm Lebanese-American and was in Beirut in 2006 when Israel started bombing it. There was mass panic/looting, street fights, people literally driving cars through shop windows out of hysteria. Buildings being destroyed left and right. Everything was shut down and non-functional
Kyiv meanwhile, people are walking around calmly and there's traffic and law and order. There's an explosion like every few hours but not much else. I remember counting explosions in Beirut and there were 200 in the span of 45 minutes.
