"An invasion of Ukraine would be catastrophic for Russia" KEK

Russia is hitting all of Ukraine key points in total surprise Blitzkrieg. There are reports all over East Ukraine of Ukrainian military being routed.

Quote is from that dumbass Boris Johnson.
Russia will win in 1 week max.

Zelensky by then will be in Berlin making a speech, kek.

lol, Russia can't even feed itself, already sustaining massive casualties, you will be lucky if Ukraine doesn't capture Moscow by the end of the week retard

How delusional do you have to be to believe this?

Helicopters already landed at Hostomel airpad.

Cope, Russians are getting killed as we speak, prepare to go back Jean Ivan

Why is Russia doing this?

Spanish left and right media are saying he's just a dictator like Hitler, and he's likely drag Europe to the abbys.

I have no clue what's going on geopolitically speaking

*likely going to drag

>surprise Blitzkrieg
>everybody could see it coming and knew beforehand

nice "Blitz" krieg

yeah, total fucking surprise, not like its "russian invasion" in the media since solid two months

an all-out invasion and occupation would be risky for Russia, and possibly unnecessary. if they can achieve their objectives without doing so they might prefer that.

The west has been provoking Putin for years over Ukraine by encouraging puppet uke gov to join nato. That means western forces on Russian border. Putin eventually had to respond (even though he likely knows it's all theatre to cover economic collapse). All staged, everyone's an actor

Based fellow GPF enjoyer

the mainstream debate about this is absolutely woeful. the general public has no knowledge of geopolitics, and the media isn't interested in informing them. But basically it's a proxy-battle between NATO (the USA really) and Russia over the alignment of Ukraine using Ukrainian bodies.
The territory of Ukraine is highly strategically significant for both sides (more so for Russia though). If the West has it, then it has gained a great deal of power and leverage over Russia. If Russia has it, then they are still a significant regional power.

If any public figure so much as suggests that Russia has legitimate self-defense interests at stake they are called a Putin-apologist, see Tucker Carlson or these guys:
