This
I've worked as a code monkey and a brick layer and I vastly prefer a desk job.
The zoomers here really dont get how fucking tiresome manual labour jobs are

i took the carpentry pill instead. highly recommend.

>Become a fat cripple for bad pay
No, at this point I'm convinced the tradie meme is cope to deflect from the fact that only the underclass does it.

How much can I make and how do I start? Serious questions

I have come to post the truth
Here's the reality of the 50yo brick layer pill
>Have fucked back, knees and joints by the age of 50
>Extreme fatigue after work because it's intense manual laboring so even if you are fit and strong you lack energy
>It's fucking shit work. Since when have you ever seen all the rich, powerful and leaders of the world throughout the entire history of mankind ever do work like this
>Slaves from ancient civilizations were forced to do work like this
>Cause of the fucked joint issue you end up addicted to drugs to cope with the physical pain you endure on a daily basis and your retirement will be doing drugs but in an overpriced house because you traded your own physical wellbeing for money so you can buy that inflated 2 bedroom house made from the 80s

I've done manual labour, and enjoyed it, but now have a policy of falling upwards.
>Join new organisations or ones going through change
>Do the bare minimum required, just enough to not get fired
>Leave when your CV has a good chunk of experience

Rinse and repeat.

it's not as bad as it sounds

I've been a carpenter, landscaper, farmer and a desk engineer.

I prefer the body feeling from the physical jobs, but I'd relegate them to building my own stuff. Not willing to risk losing a foot or a finger for someone else anymore.
