An identity isn't automatically valid just because someone says it's their identity. Think of the adult men with baby fetishes that start to identify as small children so that their lovers can change their diapers.

Here's another thought. As a society, our individual goals and aspirations should be those of health, beauty and strength. Folks who openly scorn and turn turn back on those ideals are implicitly encouraging others to do so, and weakening our society as a whole.
