What is the point of countries if their territory can never change?

If your country does well and your neighbor does poorly it’s only natural to take over some of their land. Otherwise why not just get ride of countries all together.

Russia is doing poorly, even though they have the best land in the world. Imagine what could be done if we could just naturally take some of their land and distribute it among the needy.

Yeah, just imagine how much Russia could contribute to world production and progress, if it was inhabited by proper Europeans or east Asians. Humanity loses so much potential because a large chunk of the available land area is blocked by people that can't get their shit together.
One can only hope that Russia gets a better government at some point.

This can be achieved in many ways. 9/10 times you only see economic domination, by investing in the poor country and controlling their political class through bribery, the locals simply cant pay as much. Still a takeover.
Its also common to see guerrilla forces take over poor parts of weak countries, nobody respects the central government.
