Today is the 92nd anniversary of the death of our murdered comrade Horst Wessel(ᛉ 9. Oktober 1907; ᛦ 23. Februar 1930) a young man full of potential, a student and a SA-Sturmführer. Horst Wessel was shot on the 14th of January 1930 by communist belligerents and was immediately taken to the Friedrichshain hospital in Berlin, he went through horrific suffering for six weeks before finally succumbing to his infected gunshot wounds on the 23rd of February 1930. The text of the anthem of our party „Die Fahne hoch“ later named Horst-Wessel-Lied in his honor is commonly attributed to him.
