"Fulfilling a pledge made by French president Emmanuel Macron in 2017, the stolen artefacts were returned to Benin last year, after being displayed one final time at Musée du Quai Branly in Paris. The collection – merely a fraction of the priceless Beninese possessions still held by France and other former colonial nations – includes royal thrones, statues and majestically carved doors."
Why did Europe have to go and steal ancient African art? Because they couldnt do they own art? Good thing the Europeans are finally returning it but they should also pay back all the money they made from museum admission tickets for people that went to see African art and pay it to the countries that own this art. When are we going to return the stolen African art we have in our museums too?!?
We wanted to give them the stolen Africans too but they said no
