Haven't been able to yet. We had a close call break in before we added my handgun. The way the house is laid out I need it in case I'm out in the kitchen or living room or ell I'd be trapped in there with no way to our room to grab the gun regardless which door they come in through. Kek, captcha.

Safe area but crime is leaking in from thr bug c(sh)ity miles away. A couple of assholes from there came to our neighborhood and were breaking in everywhere. We ended up being a target while sleeping. I went out for my morning smoke and a camping chair that was far away from the window was directly under the window. Spouse said it could have been the wind which makes absolutely no sense since it was upright qnd moved for the patio, wind doesn't do that. I thrn noticed our screen was off and set down. Again they attributed it to wind. Then finally what made them see the truth, there were fibsger/hand streaks on the window. Needless to say had the fucks got in they would have been met with a shotgun and no qualms about blasting. A few months later they bought me my handgun. Feels good to finally be listened to, but it's scary to think when I'm home alone with the kids late into the night we could be killed, raped or kidnapped. Fuck that.

I've had to hk slap my evo to get someone to stop picking my door lock around 3am. I live in the south side of a pretty shit city.
I am a PA resident so I carry everywhere but I work in jersey. So I kind of just have to beeline it to work and right back home to my piece. I've had to brandish before as well, guy tried getting in my car at a red light, got the door open. Have an armpit holster for in the car. I can't suggest it enough. Super easy to conceal especially in the north where you're always in a jacket.
